Welcome to the lesson on importing your mail and addresses to Outlook from Eudora. The import process is a little long, but is not usually very difficult. This process will transfer your mail, mailboxes, and address book. It will not import signature files or filters from Eudora; you will find instructions for recreating your signature file at the end of the lesson. Filters are called "actions" in Outlook and are beyond the scope of this lesson. If you use filters, please check the Help resource in Outlook for more information on "actions."
If you have multiple people using Eudora on one computer, please contact Damon,
Outlook 2002 and 2003 do not support direct import of Qualcomm Eudora 6.x email messages and address books. You can, however, import your data into Microsoft Outlook Express and then import the data from Outlook Express into Outlook.
Importing your account settings into Outlook Express
1. Start Outlook Express. Note: Look for a link to Outlook Express in Start/Programs or on your desktop. If you do not see a link there click Start, then Run, type msimn.exe and click OK.

7. Click Finish when you are done editing the new signature.
Attachments: You may find that links between email messages and attachments are lost during the transfer procedure, since Outlook and Eudora don't use the same method to save attachments. To find your attachments, open Eudora and select Tools, Options, Attachments. If you click on the button under the Attachment directory you can see the path to your attachment folder. Write this path down. Then you can move the attachments folder (usually called "attach) to a new place where it will e easier to find, such as in your My Documents folder.
